Closing your Fixit Hub account
Last updated: September 2026
You can permanently close (delete) your Fixit Hub account at any time, directly from the mobile app. Closing your account is irreversible — once it’s done, your account cannot be recovered and you would need to sign up again from scratch to use Fixit Hub in future.
Close your account in the app
- Open the Fixit Hub app and sign in.
- Tap the Profile tab.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Close account.
- Read the confirmation, then tap Close account again to confirm.
- Your session ends immediately and your account is closed.
Before you close
To protect your money, the app will ask you to resolve the following first — it will tell you if either applies to you:
- Withdraw any wallet balance. Move any remaining funds to your bank before closing.
- Finish active jobs. Complete or resolve any jobs where payment is still held in escrow.
What happens to your data
When you close your account, we permanently remove or anonymize your personal information and disable sign-in:
- Deleted: your name, email address, phone number, profile photo, password, two-factor security secret, saved devices and push tokens, and any linked Google/LinkedIn sign-in.
- Access ends immediately: you are signed out of all devices, push notifications stop, and the account can no longer be used to sign in.
- Retained in anonymized form: records we are required to keep for legal, tax, accounting, and dispute-resolution purposes — such as transaction and job history — are kept without your identifiable personal details, in line with the Nigeria Data Protection Act (NDPA), and are deleted at the end of our standard retention period.
Can’t access the app?
If you can’t sign in to close your account yourself, email us at fixithubng@gmail.com from the email address on your account, with the subject “Close my account”. We’ll verify your identity and process the closure within 30 days.
